The Maine Starter Program - Learning Ally

Learing Ally: Making reading accessible for all logoStudents in your school who have difficulty reading print materials may qualify for a program being offered to Maine schools by Learning Ally (formerly Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic - RFB&D).

Learning Ally is a national non-profit organization that serves people with learning disabilities and visual impairments by providing audiobooks, including textbooks and literature titles. Learning Ally is offering additional services to Maine schools who sign up for a paid one-year program.

In an effort to increase awareness of Learning Ally programs and materials for K-12 students who have print disabilities, Learning Ally will be giving the first 20 schools to sign up for a paid membership an extra FIVE audiobooks and ONE Mac or PC GH ReadHear software license good for one year.

Learning Ally also developed a full access web page for Maine schools and will offer five webinar-based trainings during the 2011 and 2012 school year. Look for more information about those training event on the Maine AIM Program Learning Room.
