Program Description:
Recorded: April 29, 2015 – Many students with print disabilities use accessible instructional materials (AIM) and plan to enroll in a postsecondary education program. Schools are required to develop a Transition Plan for these students beginning in 9th grade and AIM and assistive technology needs should be part of this planning. In this webinar we discuss issues related to the transition of these students and what IEP Teams need to consider for successful transition planning.
Participants will learn:
- An overview of AIM-related aspects of the IEP.
- How the results of evaluations can be used in transition planning.
- How to establish good post-secondary goals and transition services.
- How to prepare students for requesting and using AIM in postsecondary settings.
